SPEAKER of the Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Victor Ochei, yesterday in Asaba assured the Delta State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) of the lawmakers' total commitment to the execution of the Child Accident Prevention Initiative (CAPI).
Ochei, who spoke when the new Sector Commander, Mrs. Susan Ada Ajenge, visited him, explained that the support stemmed from his belief in supporting life-enhancing programmes that are in tandem with the three-point agenda of the state government.
The Speaker said that the legislature as the true representatives of the polity, will always strive to fashion out modalities for pilot schemes across the three senatorial zones in the state. Mrs. Ajenge said that the programme would go a long way in reducing the infant accident mortality rate in the state, adding that the Child Accident Prevention Initiative of the corps qualifies as one.
