Draw is the worst we could get from Liberia

NIGERIANS have been assured of Eagles returning with an irreducible minimum of a draw and a maximum result of a win, so said the skipper of the team, Turkey based Joseph Yobo.

According to the captain of the national team, missing the nations cup ticket consecutively following Eagles absence in the last edition will not do justice to the name and prestige of the country in Africa.
''We know what is at stake and the entire squad is set to do battle to rest the ghost of our previous misadventure''. He noted that the current set of Eagles made up of a blend of home grown and foreign base gives the team further strength because prospective opponents will find it difficult to really place the entire team.
''Yes if they know those of us playing in europe courtesy of them watching us on television, can you say the same for the home based players, who to me have showed tremendous talent and fighting spirit...therein lies our strength, we have surprises in this team and am encouraged,'' Yobo enthused.
